Abstract: In order to evaluate plant Oresitrophe rupifraga Bge which can be use for medicine and ornament, the crude ash, crude fiber, crude fat, reducing sugar, some mineral elements (Fe、Zn、Mn、Cu、K、Na、Ca、P) and effective components (polysaccharide, chlorogenic acid and total flavones) in the roots, stems and leaves of Oresitrophe rupifraga Bge were determined and analyzed. The results showed that there were 10.11% of crude ash, 8.02% of crude fiber, 9.54% of crude protein, 9.91% of crude fat, 6.53% of reducing sugar, 2.00% of chlorogenic acid, 6.98% of total flavones and 3.29% of crude polysaccharide, and the content of Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, K, Na, Ca and P was 284 μg/g, 132.8 μg/g, 1.07 μg/g, 19.5 μg/g, 7.01 mg/g, 169.38 μg/g, 221.9 μg/g and 300.5 μg/g, respectively, in the leaves of O. rupifraga. The contents of ingredients in the leaves were higher than those in the stems and roots, which proved that the main medicinal ingredients were in the leaves. Moreover, there were many mineral elements and active ingredients in the stems and roots, which had certain medicinal value. Therefore, the whole plant might be used as medicine and ornament.
