Abstract: Mushrooms have been valued as important sources of natural bio-active compounds for many centuries and have been targeted as potential therapeutic agents.As important biologically active substances,terpenoids are the largest family of natural products and widely distributed in nature.The phyotherapeutic efficiency of large quantities of terpenoids isolated from the mushrooms has been proved.This paper reviewed the commercial application and biological activities such as antitumor,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities of terpenoids from mushroom origin in recent years.
