Abstract:

Ten compounds were isolated and purified from the ethanol extract of fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum by using column chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20. On the basis of spectral data and physicochemical properties, their structures were elucidated as lucidumol A (1), ergosterol (2), ergosteryl palmitate (3), palmitic acid (4), β-sitosterol (5), stearic acid (6), oleic acid (7), α-hydroxytetracosanoic acid (8), 2-hydroxytetracosanoic ethyl ester (9), and 2-hydroxytetracosanoic methyl ester (10). This is first report of the presence of compounds 9 and 10 in the genus Ganoderma and 4~8 in this plant.

Key words: Ganoderma lucidum (Leyss.ex Fr.) Karst., fruiting body, α-hydroxy tetracosanoic acid, 2-hydroxy tetracosanoic ethyl ester, 2- hydroxyl tetracosanoic methyl ester
