Abstract: The collagen peptide was prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis in this paper and the effects of jellyfish collagen peptide on blood lipid and antioxidantion were investigated. The hyperlipidemia model was established by feeding ICR mice with high fat feed. The changes of liver index and fat coefficient as well as the effects on serum lipids, antioxidant capacity of liver homogenate in mice were determined. Results showed jellyfish collagen peptide could decrease the liver index, fat coefficient, TC, LDL-C, and LDL-C/HDL-C in serum significantly, and increase HDL-C and HDL-C/TC. The activities of SOD and GSH-Px in liver homogenate were enhanced, while MDA contents were reduced significantly. Jellyfish collagen peptide has hypolipidemic and antioxidative effects.
