Abstract: With Vitamin C as the positive control, the antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Sieb.et Zucc.) Planch.in vitro was investigated by using spectrophotometry in this paper. The results indicated that the polysaccharides from Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Sieb.et Zucc.) Planch.had moderate ability of antioxidant activity and diversity, showing strong antioxidant activity against ·DPPH with IC50 0.663 mg/mL,good inhibitory effects to ·OH,O2,which were weaker than Vitamin C,and weak reducing capacity. The polysaccharides from Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Sieb.et Zucc.) Planch.is expected to be explored as a natural antioxidant applied to food and pharmaceutical industries.
