Abstract: Nine compounds were isolated and purified from the root bark of Changium smyrnioides Wolff. by using supercritical CO2 extraction, column chromatography and crystallization method. The structures were identified as pentacosanoic acid (1), heptacosanol (2), β-sitosterol (3), stigmasterol (4), isoimperatorin (5), imperatorin (6), xanthotoxol (7), phellopterin (8), and 5-hydroxyl-8-methoxy-psoralen (9) on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic analysis. Compound 5-7 were obtained from the plant for the first time. Other compounds were first isolated from the root bark of this plant.

Key words: Changium smyrnioides Wolff, root bark, furancoumarins, SFE-CO2, comprehensive utilization
