Antioxidation of Polysaccharides from Poria cocos

Abstract: The research compared antioxidation in vitro of polysaccharides from Poria cocos with Vc by using spectrophotometry. The results showed that polysaccharides from P. cocos had powerful ability of antioxidation. In the system of DPPH? and reducing system, the sample was superior to Vc in scavenging ability. But it was inferior to Vc in the system of hydroxyl radical and superoxide anion.
