Isolation and Identification of Flavonoids from Buds of Panax notoginseng

Abstract: Two flavonoids were isolated from buds of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H. Chen by silica gel and preparative thin layer chromatography, and identified as kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (1) and kaempferol-3-O-(2′′,3′′-di-E-p-coumaroyl)-α-L-rhamnoside (2) by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data. Both compounds were first reported from buds of Panax notoginseng.
