Abstract: Abstract: Eleven compounds were isolated from the 60% aq. acetone extract of the air-dried twigs of Myricariagermanica(Tamaricaceae), and their structures were identified as ferulic acid (1), coniferol (2), feruloyl glucose (3), isolariciresinol (4), caffeic acid (5), p-hydroxycinnamic acid (6), gallic acid (7), 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid (8), rhododendrol (9), 3-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzoic acid (10)and 3,4,5-trihydroxycinnanic acid (11) on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. All compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time, and1-6 and 8-11 were obtained from genus Myricariafor the first time.
