Research Advanced of Ginkgo biloba Extract and Its Active Components in Improving Cognitive Function

摘要: 银杏叶提取物是目前临床上最常用的中药提取物之一,具有广泛的药理作用,其主要的活性成分包括银杏黄酮、银杏内酯以及白果内酯。早年研究发现,银杏叶提取物具有保护中枢神经系统的作用并且能显著改善疾病所导致的认知功能障碍,包括阿尔茨海默症、血管性痴呆以及糖尿病脑病。本文就银杏叶提取物及其活性成分通过对信号通路的影响、对凋亡相关蛋白的影响、抗氧化作用来改善认知功能的可能分子机制及其体外对神经细胞的保护作用进行综述。

Abstract: Ginkgo biloba extract was one of the most commonly used traditional Chinese medicine extracts,which had a wide range of pharmacological effects.Its main active ingredients include ginkgo biloba,ginkgolide,and bilobalide.Early studies have found that ginkgo biloba extract has a protective effect to central nervous system and can significantly improve the cognitive dysfunction caused by disease,including alzheimer's,vascular dementia and diabetic encephalopathy.In this paper,the probable molecular mechanisms of ginkgo biloba extract and its active components on signaling pathways,apoptosis-related proteins and antioxidation to improve cognitive function and its protective effect on nerve cells in vitro were reviewed.
