Abstract: Seven compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract of the leaves of Mangifera persiciformis. They were identified as methyl gallate (1), gallic acid (2), 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (3), quercetin (4), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside (5), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside (6) and mangiferin (7) by analysis of their spectroscopic data and by comparison with those reported on the literature. Among them, compounds 1, 3, 5 and 6 were obtained from this plant for the first time.

Key words: Mangifera persiciformis, Mangifera, methyl gallate, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside, quercetin -3-O-β-D-glucoside
