Abstract: To dispose the endogenous substance in urine and enrich the chemical constituent from Bazhen decoction, the urine sample of rat after intragastric administration with Bazhen decoction was depurated by many methods. To obtain the best methods, blank urine and drug-containing urine samples were extracted with n-butyl alcohol, ethyl acetate and SPE, respectively, and then were analyzed by HPLC. After analyzing the liquid chromatograms of urine samples, SPE extraction was determined as the best depurated methods, and the optimal gathering time for urine samples was 4-8 h.

Key words: Bazhen decoction, HPLC, urine, SPE, depurating methods
