Abstract: The fingerprint of Dendrobium candidum from Guangxi was established by HPLC and quality of it was evaluated with the similarity. The results showed that similarity of 11 batches of D. candidum was higher than 0.8, and similarity of 2 batches was below 0.8 in the fingerprint with 13 common peaks, which demonstrated that there was a certain relationship between similarity and region of D. candidum. Peak area of the fingerprint of different parts from cultivated D. candidum was compared, which showed the medicinal materials should not be harvested in advance. In addition, similarity of 3 batches of tissue-cultured D. candidum was low, which indicated that the chemical composition of tissue cultures was of large difference at different periods.
