Abstract: Twelve compounds were isolated from the aerial parts of Blumea balsamifera DC. On the basis of spectral methods and chemical analysis, their structures were identified as ombuin (1), xanthoxylin (2), 2,4-dihydroxy-6- methoxyphenylethanone (3), 5,7-dihydroxychromone(4), hyperoside (5), isoquercitrin (6), 3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxy-3-methoxyflavone (7), quercetin (8), quercetin 3′-methoxy-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside (9), 4′,5,7-trihydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxyflavone (10), 3,5,7-trihydroxy-3′,4′-dimethoxyflavone (11), and luteolin (12). Among them, compounds 3-7 and 9-11 were isolated from the genus Blumea for the first time.
