Phonemic Constituents from the Leaves of Bombax malabaricum

Abstract: Twelve phonemic compounds were isolated and identified as mangiferin (1), scopoletin (2), scoparone (3), protocatechuic acid (4), aesculetin (5), limettin (6), gentisic acid (7), scopolin (8), esculin (9), glucosyringic acid (10), quercetin (11), and luteolin-4′-glucoside (12). All of them, except compounds 1 and 11, were isolated from this plant for the first time.
