Abstract:

This study aims to evaluate the promoting effect of camellia oil on hair regrowth in depilated mice and explores its mechanism.Male C57BL/6J mice were used as experimental subjects and divided into four groups:the normal group, the control group, the minoxidil group, and the camellia oil group.A depilated mice model was established using the rosin paraffin method. The corresponding reagents were applied to the skin of the depilated area of the mice every day for 21 consecutive days.By comparing the differences in the scores of regrowth hair, hair length, hair weight, and hair follicle numbers among the groups, the promoting effect of camellia oil on hair growth was studied.Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to explore the target sites and related pathways of camellia oil in promoting hair growth. The expression of the related target gene epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was detected using qPCR.The results showed that camellia oil could significantly promote hair growth in depilated mice, and its mechanism may be achieved by targeting EGFR and upregulating EGFR levels.
