Research progress on anticancer effect of cannabidiol

Abstract:

Cannabis has important medicinal value because of the cannabinoids that can be separated from cannabis.At present,113 types of cannabinoids have been found in the study,among which the content of tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol is the highest.Tetrahydrocannabinol is a psychoactive component in cannabis with serious side effects,namely hallucinogenic and addictive effects,while cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive component in cannabis,which can hinder the effects of tetrahydrocannabinol on the nervous system,and no hallucinogenic and addictive effects.This article comprehensively describes the anticancer effects of cannabidiol,including anti-leukemia,anti-glioma,anti-breast cancer,anti-prostate cancer,anti-lung cancer,anti-colorectal cancer and their mechanisms.It aims to provide scientific reference for the treatment of various cancers by cannabidiol.
