Abstract:

Choline chloride-lactic acid (CC-LA) lignin was extracted from the shells of bamboo shoots of Neosinocalamus affinis with choline chloride and lactic acid deep eutectic solvent. The structure, thermal stability and antioxidant activity of lignin were characterized and analyzed. The results showed that the yield of CC-LA lignin ranged from 37.67% to 62.32%,which was much higher than that of milled wood lignin(13.4%).CC-LA lignin has low relative molecular mass, polydispersity index less than 2,and good structural homogeneity.CC-LA3130 lignin was prepared at 130 ℃ with the molar ratio of choline chloride to lactic acid of 1∶3.Compared with other CC-LA lignin and milled wood lignin,CC-LA3130 lignin had the lowest alcohol hydroxyl content, the highest phenolic hydroxyl content, the best thermal stability, and the strongest scavenging activity of DPPH,and the free radical scavenging index is 3.77,which is higher than the commercial antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene(2.11).This study demonstrates that lignin extracted from choline chloride/lactic acid under optimal conditions(1∶3,130 ℃) has the potential to be used in the field of antioxidants.
