Abstract: Inflammation is the defense reaction in response to stimulations of various injury factors in the living tissues with vascular system,which plays an important role in the disease development,such as arthritis,asthma,Alzheimer's disease,etc.Drugs for inflammation diseases mainly include non-steroidal,steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and biologicals,pitifully restricted in a way due to the certain side effects of non-steroidal and steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,and the fancy price of biologicals.Recently,with the development of marine resources,a lot of natural products with anti-inflammatory activity have been extracted from marine organisms,grown in the complicated ocean,extremely rich in natural products.Those are classified as terpenoids,sterols,polysaccharides,alkaloids,fatty acid,protein and the others.Here,the research progress of the marine natural products and their derivatives with anti-inflammatory activity in recent years were reviewed,in order to provide some reference for developing efficient safety anti-inflammatory drugs.
