Abstract: In order to investigate the pectin content of tobacco stem in papermaking process reconstituted tobacco,the pretreatment method using ion chromatography was optimized to detect the pectin content in tobacco stem.The variation of pectin content through treatment of tobacco was then tested.The results showed that:(1) when pretreatment method being alcohol purification acid hydrolyzation and temperature being 55 ℃,the enzymatic hydrolization of acid takes 0.5 h and the enzymatic hydrolyzation of acid residue takes 3.0 h;(2) tested with this method,the pectin content of tobacco stem as raw material,after dipping,after moisture regain and after extraction are 19.2%,18.7%,17.5% and 13.4% respectively.
