Abstract: There has been few report regarding on neuroprotective effect of C21pregnane steroids and saponins on focal cerebral ischemia in rats.This study investigated the neuroprotective effect of the inclusion complex of caudatin and hydroxypropylβcyclodextrin on focal cerebral ischemia in brain injury rats,and the results indicated caudatin has moderately neuroprotective effect in a dose dependent manner.
