Abstract: Antioxidant capacities and inhibitory activities against α-amylase and α-glucosidase of Se-enriched Chrysanthemum morifolium(SCM)and traditional Chrysanthemum morifolium(TCM)were systematically investigated.EC50 values of methanol extract from SCM for ABTS·+,DPPH· and OH radicals were 0.078 5,0.068 0 and 0.346 9 mg/mL,respectively.And EC50 values of methanol extract from TCM were 0.128 9,0.121 2 and 0.313 3 mg/mL,respectively.Reducing power and ABTS·+,DPPH· radical-scavenging activities of SCM were remarkably higher than those of TCM.IC50 values of methanol extract from SCM for α-amylase and α-glucosidase were 2.190 9 and 4.123 9 mg/mL,respectively.And IC50 values of methanol extract from TCM were 3.449 5 and 10.696 3 mg/mL,respectively.Both antioxidant activities and inhibitory effects on α-amylase and α-glucosidase were dose-dependent,and fit equations based upon dose-effect relationships possessed high goodness of fit.Antioxidant capacities and inhibitory activities against α-amylase and α-glucosidase of SCM were comparatively higher than those of TCM,which might be ascribed to polyphenols and flavonoids. This research may provide a basis for scientific exploitation and comprehensive utilization of SCM resource.
