Abstract: Bamboo leaves possess high medicinal and edible value. As the symbolic functional ingredient in extracts of Bamboo leaves (EOB),the contents of flavonoids have an important impact on utilization of bamboo leaves. This study summarized the research data on flavonoids in recent 20 years at home and abroad,91 species in 18 bamboo genus related with this study were analyzed. The results indicated that the total flavonoids were 4.60-25.43 mg/g·d.w,and the contents of 4 distinctive C-glycosyl flavones (Orientin,Isoorientin,Vitexin,Isovitexin) in bamboo leaves were 1.23-2.49 mg/g.The total flavonoids was the highest in Shibataea Makino ex Nakai, but the lowest in Schizostachyum Nees.Further more, the total flavonoids in Phyllostachys Sieb.et Zucc.was 16.34 mg/g,and the contents of 4 C-glycosyl was 1.38 mg/g,among which isoorientin was the highest.Throughout the present research, flavonoids of bamboo leaves in Phyllostachys Sieb.et Zucc.was the most comprehensive. This analysis conclusion was to provide some guidance for efficient utilization of bamboo leaves.
