Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the dark tea extracts on the treatment of sepsis.Sepsis model mice were established by intraperitoneal injection of 40 mg/kg of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and cecal ligation plus puncture(CLP),which were used to observe the 7 d survival of sepsis mice treated with dark tea extracts.Cell experiments were carried out to study the effect of dark tea extracts on the necroptosis of Macrophages induced by 10 μg/mL LPS,which was to further study the mechanism of treatment on sepsis. The results showed that dark tea water extract can improve the average survival time and 7 d survival rate of sepsis mice (40% lifted) induced by 40 mg/kg LPS and CLP;dark tea polysaccharide can inhibit the necroptosis of Macrophages induced by LPS (10 μg/mL),the difference was significant (P<0.05) when compared with LPS group. All these experimental results suggested that Dark tea extracts had a certain therapeutic effect on sepsis mice, which may be concerned with inhibition of macrophage necroptosis induced by LPS (10 μg/mL).Their mechanism need to be further study.
