Abstract:

With the deepening of research, zebrafish is not only used in genetics and developmental biology research, but also expanded and extended to the field of disease models and drug screening. As a whole animal model, zebrafish can comprehensively detect and evaluate the activity and toxic and side effects of compounds to achieve high content screening.Compared with traditional vertebrate mice, fruit flies and nematodes and other model organisms, zebrafish not only provide the common advantages of phenotypic screening, but also show unique advantages that other in vivo models can not match.Being integrated advantages both in vivo and in vitro, with high efficiency and low cost, evaluation using zebrafish has become an effective method in quick screening of early safety of compounds on abroad. In past years, studies on toxicity of drug with zebrafish model is increasing at home and abroad. The author summarizes the progress of zebrafish in drug toxicity research, and statistically and analyzes the academic results of zebrafish in drug research in the past five years at home and abroad, and points out the advantages and disadvantages of zebrafish model in drug toxicity research.Prospects for the development of zebrafish model organisms are proposed, with a view to providing a reference for researchers and promoting the development of this new model organism.
