Abstract:

In this study,a new strategy for quantitative analysis of multi-componets using a single marker (QAMS) was developed for the determination of four iridoids (monotropein, deacetyl asperulosidic acid, asperulosidic acid, asperuloside) in Morinda officinalis How. from different producing areas. The relative correction factors (RCF) of deacetyl asperulosidic acid and other components were established by using deacetyl asperulosidic acid as the internal reference substance, and the content of the components was calculated by RCFs.The contents of these four components in 11 batches of M. officinalis from different areas were determined by external standard method and QAMS method. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the contents obtained by external standard method and QAMS method, indicating the accuracy and feasibility of the QAMS method. The QAMS method established in this study solved the problem of the availability and high cost of some standard substances, and would be useful for providing an efficient and feasible quality assessment method for M. officinalis.
