Abstract:

Fourteen compounds were isolated from the barks and stems of Daphne retusa. Their structures were identified as daphnodorin A (1), daphnodorin B (2), daphnodorin C (3), daphnodorin E (4), daphnodorin F (5), genkwanin (6), yuankanin (7), 4′,5-dihydroxy-3′,7-dimethoxyflavone (8), daphneticin (9), 5′′-demethoxydaphneticin (10), (–)-pinoresinol (11), daphneolon (12), syringin (13), and syringaldehyde (14) by spectroscopic analysis. All compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.
