Abstract: Dendrobium huoshanense is a valuable medicinal plant in China and is called the head of nine immortal of China,which explicitly included in the Supplement to Compendium of Materia Medica.The dry or fresh stems of the plant has long been used as medicine in China.In order to provide some theoretical basis for exploration and utilization of D.huoshanense,this paper reviewed literatures on the isolation and pharmacological activities of polysaccharides from D.huoshanense.
