Abstract: This research aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from Artemisia capillaris and to screen antibiotic bacteria strains.7 different kinds of culture medium were used. The isolated strains were identified by means of morphology and molecular biology, the antibacterial activity of fermentation products was tested by 96well plate method and active ingredients in fermentation products were analyzed by spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that 52 endophytic bacteria strains were obtained from Artemisia capillaris and were affiliated to 9 genera, bacillus was the dominant genus.17 strains showed antimicrobial activity on the indicator bacteria, strains of NA3,BPA24 and KMB32 performed strong bacteriostatic activity, and high content of oleanolic acid was detected in the fermentation products of stains NA3 and KMB32.The study clears about the variety of endophytic bacteria ofArtemisia capillaris, two strains were obtained for producing oleanolic acid which provides material endophytes for further research of active substances.
