Abstract:

The secondary metabolites of an endophytic fungus HNMF114 from the bivalve mollusk Sanguinolaria chinensis of China were studied in this paper. One new compound and eight known compounds were isolated and purified from the epiphytic fungus Aspergillus clavatonanicus, and the structures were identified as clavatone (1),cyclo(L-Trp-L-Trp) (2),2,4(1H,3H)-quinazolinedione (3),clavatol (4),kotanin (5),orlandin (6),desmethylkotanin (7),(S)-2-(1-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one (8),(S)-2-methyl-1-(4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-yl) propyl acetate (9).The new compound 1 showed obvious inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli with the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) value of 2 μg/mL.Compounds 4 and 9 showed obvious inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus with the MIC values of 1 μg/mL and 4 μg/mL,respectively.Compound 5 showed moderate inhibitory activity against Bacillus subtilis with the MIC value of 8 μg/mL.Compounds 4,5 and 9 showed moderate inhibitory activity against Listeria monocytogenes, with MIC values of 4,4 and 8 μg/mL,respectively.
