Studies on Chemical Constituents of Medicinal Plants of Swertia mileensis

Abstract

Abstract: Phytochemical investigation of the ethanolic extract of Swertia mileensis T.N.Neet W.L.Shih led to the isolation of seven compounds．Their structures were identified as angustin B(1),erythrocentauric acid(2),oleanolic acid(3),erythrocentaurin(4),swertiadecoraxanthoneⅡ(5),angustin A(6)and daucosterol(7),on the basis of spectroscopic methods and physicochemical properties,Among them，compounds 1,2,and 6 were isolated from the plants for the first time．
