Chemical Constituents from Enzymatic Hydrolysate of Total Saponins of Panax notoginseng

Abstract: This paper presents the saponin constituents from the enzymatic hydrolysate of Panax notoginseng by glucosidase. Eleven saponins were isolated from the hydrolysate of P. notoginseng. On the basis of spectroscopic analysis, their structures were elucidated as  20(S)-protopanaxadiol-20-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), ginsenoside compound K (2), 3β,12β,20(S),25-tetrahydroxydammar-23-en-20-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 3β,20(S)-dihydroxydammar-24-en-12β,23β-epoxy-20-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), 3β,12β,20(S)-trihydroxy- 25-hydroperoxydammar-23-en-20-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), ginsenoside F1 (6), ginsenoside Rg1 (7), ginsenoside Rg2 (8), ginsenoside Mc (9), 20(S)-protopanaxadiol-3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D- glucopyranosyl-20-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (10) and ginsenoside Re (11), respectively.
