Abstract: Aspergillus fumigatus,a Cordyceps-colonizing fungus has been isolated from Cordyceps sinensis and its chemical constituents were investigated.A new compound 1 had been isolated from EtOAc extract of the fermentation broth by silica gel,RP C18 column chromatography and preparative HPLC and its structure was elucidated as 6-methoxy-3-methyl-1H-isochromen-8-ol by various spectroscopic data (HR-ESI-MS,1D NMR,2D NMR).Compound 1 was shown to have weak cytotoxic activity against the H1299,H460,HGC-27,A549 and mnk-43.

Key words: Aspergillus fumigatus, Cordyceps sinensis, 6-methoxy-3-methyl-1H-isochromen-8-ol, structural elucidation, cytotoxic activity
