Abstract:

The secondary metabolites and antibacterial activities of Hypocrea lixii SCSIO 41520 were studied.Eight compounds were isolated by chromatography methods, such as silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 gel chromatography and pre-HPLC.The structures of these compounds were identified as 4-(5,7-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)heptanoic acid methyl ester (1),5-methoxy eugenin (2),rugulosin (3),emodin (4),3-(5,7-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4h-chromen-2-yl) propanoic acid (5),comazaphilone C (6),kasanosin C (7),and comazaphilone E (8) on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.Compund 1 is a new chromone derivative.Antibacterial tests revealed that the ethyl acetate extract and its fractions of this fungal fermentation products had certain antibacterial activity.Compound 3 in the concent of 25 μg/disc had inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus subtilisand Escherichia coli. The diameter of bacteriostatic circles were 16,15 and 9 mm,respectively.
