Alternaria is a globally distributed fungal genus,which is widely present in soil and organic matter.The number of their secondary metabolites reported in the literatures was 364 so far，and this article mainly reviewed 85 compounds with biological activity.The bioactive ingredients contained alkaloids,terpenes,quinones,phenols,and pyrones.These metabolities showed biological activities such as antibacterial,antitumor,antioxidant and antimalarial.By reviewing relevant domestic and foreign literatures,the biologically active secondary metabolites in Alternaria fungi were systematically summarized in order to providing a theoretical basis for the subsequent resource utilization and comprehensive development of Alternaria fungi.
