Abstract: This reaserch aimed to explore the chemical constituents and antibacterial activity of Semiaquilegia adoxoides.Thirteen compounds were isolated from the root of Semiaquilegia adoxoides.Their structures were identified as menisdaurilide (1),griffonilide (2),β-sitosterol (3),daucosterol (4),p-hydroxybenzyl ethanol (5),bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (6),berberine (7),magnoflorine (8),thalifendine (9),fructose (10),lithospermoside (11),berberrubine (12),bauhinin (13),respectively,mostly by sepectroscopic.Compound 12 and 13 were isolated from Semiaquilegia adoxoides for the first time.In addition, the antibacterial activity of each compound of Semiaquilegia adoxoides was evaluated by paper disc diffusion method. As a result, compound 7 and 12 showed obvious antibacterial activity. At 5 μg/disc,the diameter of inhibition zone of Compound 7 against Erwinia carotovora pv.Carotovora and Pseudomonas syringae pv.Actinidiae were 19.4 mm and 13.3 mm,respectively, and the diameter of inhibition zone of Compound 12 against Ralstonia solanacearum and Pseudomonas syringae pv.Actinidiae were 13.2 mm and 12.8 mm.The results showed that Semiaquilegia adoxoides had good application prospects in controlling bacterial diseases of crops.
