Abstract: Eight compounds were purified from an endophytic fungus by extensive chromatography and spectroscopic analysis. The endophytic fungus was ioslated from Aegiceras corniculatum. They were identified as ergosta-5,7,22-trien-3β-ol(1),24-methylcholest-5,22(E)-3β,7α-diol,ergost-22-en-3-ol(3),5α,8α-epidioxy-cholest-6-en-3β-ol(4),5α,8α-epidioxy-22E-ergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol(5),3β-hydroxycholestan(6),3β-hydroxy ergosta-5,8,22-trien-7-one(7),3β-hydroxy ergosta-5,8,22-trien-7-one (8).
